Meet The Team

Founded in 1998 by Keith and Kate Merrin, Athelbrae is a national award winning family business, based in Kent. 
Previous Managing Director and founder Keith had over 30 years expertise in the Training Industry, designing Staff Development & Training. Former Operations Director, Kate who had a background in Management Administration in the NHS ran the day to operations of the business.  

Their daughter, Fran has grown up around the business, and was mentored by Keith and Kate over a 4 year period as part of the succession plan.  With a background in Administration in Public and Private sectors, she came aboard in 2019 as Operations Manager, before progressing to Operations Director in 2021. With Keith's retirement in September 2023 after 25 years at the helm, Fran has now assumed the role of Managing Director and Director of Training.

Fran is supported in the office by husband and Office Manager, Ben who has over 20 years in customer facing roles. He supports Fran with the day to day running of the office, liaising with clients regarding training and coaching and providing admin support. We are delighted that as a family business, your main point of contact will always be directly with Fran or Ben.

We have a passionate and enthusiastic team of Associate Trainers & Coaches who have all held senior roles in business. They provide practical training that can be immediately transferred to the workplace which develops the skills and confidence of delegates.
